Wow, this is pretty ignorant. Blanco can't just magically make things happen, but one of her duties is to help the entire state cope with this disaster. A great way to do that in uber-religious South Louisiana is to lead people in prayer. I'm sure they're doing everything they can to help people.

Actually, all of our elected officials are doing a pretty good job with all this, I'm fairly impressed as I thought some of them would just curl up and cry.

people have been praying for days and those prayers havent been answered. How about some fucking action? The people in the superdome could have been rescued over 24 hours ago when it was dry there. Now they will have to boat them to the interstate since there is 5 feet of water all aroudn it. St. Charles Ave was dry and they could have evacuated baptist, touro and childrens hospital last night. Now they are all stranded there.
